Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 8, 2026

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains what information Knowable collects when you use our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to all visitors and account holders.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information. When you sign in with Google, GitHub, or email, we receive your name, email address, and profile image.
  • Learning content. The prompts you submit, the preferences you choose when creating a course, the courses generated for you, and your learning activity (lesson progress, quiz results, highlights, and feedback).
  • Payment information. If you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We store your subscription status and Stripe identifiers, never your full card details.
  • Usage data. Standard log and analytics data such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from IP address.

3. How we use information

  • To generate and personalize your courses;
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions;
  • To send transactional and (optional) progress-reminder emails;
  • To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Your prompts and course preferences are sent to AI model providers to generate course content on your behalf. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run Knowable — such as hosting, database, analytics, email delivery, payment processing (Stripe), and AI model providers — under agreements that limit how they may use it. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us; we will delete it except where retention is required by law (for example, billing records).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

8. Children

Knowable is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by email.
